Quasibatak in Cymru (Wales)

Ein Wochenende hat leider nur 48 Stunden. Man kann es zwar auf 72 Stunden ausdehnen, aber selbst dann muss man die Zeit, die man zwangsläufig zum Schlafen benötigt wieder abziehen.
Wales hat mich begeistert. Wales ist traumhaft. Ein Wochenende dort reicht bei weitem nicht. Es kommt mir vor, als ob ich zwei Wochen dort war - mindestens - mit so vielen Eindrücken bepackt, wie ich zurück kam. Und Zwei Wochen braucht man mindestens, um dem kleinen nur flüchtig bekannten Land des roten Drachens alle Ehre zu gebühren, die ihm zusteht.
Das Land mit dem Drachen als Wappenzeichen ist die reine Sagen- und Märchenlandschaft. Von allen schönen Orten der Welt kann man hier etwas wieder finden. Steilküsten wie Rügen, Gezeiten und Watt Ostfrieslands, Wälder und Berge von Schwarzwald und Hegau, die zweisprachigen Schilder erinnern mich an Lausitz/Spreewald und wer die Südstaaten bevorzugt, in so einigen Gärten stehen Palmen...
Die Architektur ist von der Landschaft bestimmt. Hauptbaumaterial ist Fels und Schiefer. Im Süden sind die Häuser überwiegend bunt verputzt oder wenigstens farbig angestrichen. Je weiter man in den Norden kommt, desto mehr überwiegt das Grau des Schiefers.
Wales ist ein Paradies zum Wandern und Rad fahren. Schade, dass ich relativ nur maximal 72 Stunden zur Verfügung hatte. Und diese habe ich dank eines Busstreckennetzes, den ich in der Touristeninformation in Cardiff ergattert habe auch nach besten Möglichkeiten genutzt.
Meine Tour begann am Freitagabend mit dem Zug nach Cardiff. Samstag bin ich von dort weiter nach Fishguard und die Westküste entlang Richtung Norden nach Aberystwyth, da man mich bereits in Cardiff warnte, dass Sonntags nur sehr schlecht mit Bus und Bahn vorranzukommen ist.
Am Sonntag wagte ich noch einen Abstecher weiter nördlich nach Trawsfynydd und fuhr dann über Machynlleth zurück nach Stoke.
Somit habe ich in nur 2 Tagen 5 von den 6 Walisischen Provinzen besuchen können. Gut, dass ich alleine unterwegs war. Anders wäre dieser Mammuttrip sicher unmöglich gewesen. Ich empfehle jedem anderen dringend für diese Tour am besten einen ganzen Monat einzuplanen.

A weekend has unfortunately only 48 hours. It can be extended to 72 hours, but even then you have to deduct the time you necessarily need to sleep.
Wales was exciting. Wales is fantastic. A weekend there is hardly enough. It fells like as I was there for two weeks - at least - with so many impressions loaded like I came back. And you need at least two weeks to honour the rarely known small country of the red dragon.
The country with the dragon at it's national emblem is a pure legends and myth landscape. From all the beautiful places in the whole world you may find something here. Such as cliffs from Rügen, tides and mudflat from Ostfrieslands, forests and mountains of Black Forest and Hegau, the bilingual signs remind me of Lusatia / Spreewald and who prefers the southern states, in so some gardens are palm trees ....
The architecture is influenced by the landscape. The main material is rock and slate. In the south, the houses are mostly brightly coloured plaster or at least colourful painted. As more you get in the north as more grey of the slate dominates.
Wales is a paradise for hiking and cycling. A pity that I I had only all together 72 hours. And this time I could use as effective as possible thanks to a bus plan which I get in the tourist information in Cardiff.
My tour began on Friday evening with the train to Cardiff. Saturday, I proceed to Fishguard and along the west coast to Aberystwyth, because I already been warned in Cardiff that it's nearly impossible to get a bus or train on Sunday.
On Sunday I ventured a trip in the further north to Trawsfynydd and then came back to Machynlleth and from there to Stoke.
So just within 2 days I visited 5 of the 6 Welsh provinces. Well, I was alone. Otherwise that mammoth trip would certainly be impossible. I urgently recommend everybody to take at least a whole month for this tour.
