Fort William

Invergarry erreichte ich vom Dauernieselregen völlig durchnässt kurz vorm dunkel werden. Ich fragte an der Tankstelle, wo denn der Bus hält, sah dann auf meinem Fahrplan nach, wann er kommt – in anderthalb Stunden – und wartete schließlich. Blieb aber in Bewegung, um nicht kalt zu werden.
Der Bus brachte mich nach Fort William. Mein Plan war es, dort die Silvesternacht zu verbringen und am folgenden Tag nach Glasgow, kurze Stadtbesichtigung, und zurück nach Stoke.
Mein erster Weg führte mich zum Bahnhof. Am Schalter fragte ich, wie die Züge am 1.1. fuhren. Garnicht. Der nächste und letzte fährt in 10 Minuten. Und Busse? Keine Ahnung. Frag dort hinten beim Busfahrkartenschalter. Der hatte zu und ich keine Lust auf mehr Risiko. Und somit war mein erster Weg in Fort William auch der Letzte. Auf nach Glasgow.

I reached Invergarry completely drenched with drizzle and shortly before sunset. I asked at the fuel station where the bus will stop and looked at my time table when it will arrive - in one and a half hour - and I waited. But I kept moving to avoid getting cold.
The bus toke me to Fort Williams. It was my plane to stay there for New Years Eve and go to Glasgow on the next day, brief sightseeing and back to Stoke.
My first way toke me to the train station. I asked at the counter how the trains are going on the 1.1. Not at all. The next will be in 10 minutes. And buses? She didn't know. Ask the bus counter. This was closed and I didn't want to run the risk. So was my first way in Fort William my last way and I left to Glasgow.
